About Us
American Worldwide Chaplaincy Association
The American Worldwide Chaplaincy Association (AWCA) is a unique global missionary organization authorized by the U.S. government, dedicated to spreading the Gospel worldwide through a special group of chaplains. Established on September 22, 2003, with the official approval of the U.S. government, the first Commander-in-Chief was Pastor Kim Won-nam from South Korea. This mission began with the historic appointment of an international chaplain as a four-star general by the 39th U.S. President, Jimmy Carter, in 1990. AWCA operates as a "spiritual special command," wearing the same uniforms, ranks, and insignia as the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, and focuses on evangelizing to presidents, prime ministers, ministers, military, and police in various countries. It is not just a religious organization but an international chaplaincy with a highly strategic mission for the evangelization of all humanity.
